Workwear Symposium
In celebration of its new MFA in Fashion Design and Society, Parsons presents the Workwear, an exhibition and programming series exploring the legacy of workwear in American fashion and its influence on contemporary constructions of New York as a fashion capital.
The symposium explores the themes of Workwear from historical, cultural, and sociological perspectives, and will include work from an unpublished photo essay by Walker Evans, as well as discussions with fashion historians, critics, and designers including Zowie Broach of Boudicca and Vince Aletti.
