Founded in 2004 by Chester and Tracy Jenkins; the site vllg.com launched on Bastille Day 2005 to bring to market the work of a small and select group of type designers. Besides its work designing, publishing, and distributing typefaces, Village also takes on bespoke type projects, ranging from extension and modification of their own designs to the creation of brand new typefaces.
